Said & Found is an iPhone app for remembering where you put things. It is new and still in development, so if something doesn't work the way you expect, we want to hear about it.

Questions

How do I save where something is?

Type or say one sentence, like "The passport's in the bedroom dresser, top drawer." Check the item and place the app shows you, then tap save. Places are created from your own words, so you don't set anything up first.

How do I find it again?

Open Search and type what you're looking for, in your own words. Things you marked as taken out show up too, with the date you took them out.

Do I need an account?

No. Without an account, everything stays on your iPhone. Sign in with Apple if you want your things synced, shared with your household, or to capture things with a photo.

Why doesn't the microphone work?

Speech is turned into text on your iPhone, and audio is never sent anywhere. If your iPhone or language setting doesn't support on-device recognition, the app asks you to type instead. Also check that microphone and speech recognition access are on in Settings > Privacy & Security.

What happens to my photos?

A photo is sent to our AI service only to list the things in it, then it is not stored. See the app privacy policy for details.

How do I share with my family?

In Settings > Family, create an invite code and send it. The other person enters it in their app. Each code works once and expires after 7 days. If they already saved things in their own household, they can't join another one yet.

The app put something in the wrong place.

Before saving, tap the item or place to fix it. After saving, open the place and swipe the item to rename or delete it, or just say where it is again: saying it again moves it.

How do I delete my account?

Settings > Delete Account. This deletes your account and the things only you keep, from our servers and your iPhone. Things in a household you share stay with the other members. See what gets deleted.
